Ever since I built my first home garage I’ve been aware of just how much there is to learn about the world of garages.

So many things I’ve had to learn like

• What are the different kinds of garages that you can install?
• How do you make a garage waterproof?
• Should you pour your own concrete foundation… or get professional concreters to come in and do it?
• What’s the best way to install solar lights in a garage?
• How do you stop moisture from accumulating in a garage?

And so on.

There’s a lot of very vague and general information out there. I had to learn a lot of it by talking to tradespeople, vendors, and to neighbours who’ve wandered through the quagmire of information themselves.

After forty years of wandering in the desert of misinformation, I think I’ve pulled enough together to be able to share it with the world.

So here it is — my own collection of information about how to build, equip, and improve your own home garage — my personal portfolio of DIY garage idea. Hope you like it!
